Play of the Day: Trump Appeals to Religious Voters
The candidate's poll numbers with evangelicals are increasing.
According to a new poll, neurosurgeon Ben Carson is closing the gap on Donald Trump for the 2016 GOP nomination. Carson's move in the polls prompted late-night comedians to joke about the Trump/Carson relationship, specifically touching on Carson's history as a brain surgeon and Trump's gaffe-filled campaign.
Despite a lack of overt religiosity, Trump's campaign has appealed to evangelical voters quite a bit this campaign cycle. Conan O'Brien joked about this appeal Tuesday night, suggesting that Trump will bring about the end of days.
