Play of the Day: Libertarian Gary Johnson is Also Running for President
Late-night looks at the 2016 candidate polling in the high single digits.
American Online founder Steve Case endorsed Hillary Clinton for president this week, saying that the former State Department chief would be good for innovation. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the endorsement Thursday night, saying that the last thing Clinton wants to hear is AOL's iconic sound.
Gaffe-prone Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson has been in the news lately and late-night has taken notice. Late Show's Stephen Colbert and Meyers joked about an interview Johnson gave to NBC's Kasie Hunt in which Johnson acted strangely, tying the interview to his famed support for marijuana legalization. Colbert, Meyers and Conan O'Brien joked about Johnson's latest gaffe in which he could not name a world leader, with O'Brien joking that Johnson is definitely qualified to head a Donald Trump State Department. Colbert also noted that Johnson is polling well with military members and mocked Johnson's "Aleppo" gaffe, saying "if the president doesn't know about Syria, there's no way he's sending you there."
