Play of the Day: Trump's Relationship With Robert Mueller
The president says he'll testify under oath, but a new report suggests he wanted to fire the investigator.
According to a Washington Post report this week, President Donald Trump was denied use of a van Gogh masterpiece from New York's Guggenheim Museum, but was offered a golden toilet piece in lie of the Dutch master's "Landscape With Snow." Jimmy Kimmel joked about the report, saying the Trumps wouldn't need another gilded bathroom fixture and a painting is less useful than a toilet, after all.
While in Switzerland, Trump told reporters that he "absolutely" testify under oath for Robert Mueller's special investigation. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about Trump saying "I would absolutely do it under oath" by connecting it to the Stormy Daniels report, while Kimmel joked about the New York Times report suggesting Trump has already tried to fire Mueller, saying firing a special counsel is not the same as firing Meatloaf.
