Play of the Day: President Trump's Listening Session Notes
The president had some teens to the White House and made sure to remember to hear them.
Early this week, President Donald Trump tweeted about Russian interference into the 2016 election, writing "Why didn’t Obama do something about the meddling? Why aren’t Dem crimes under investigation? Ask Jeff Sessions!" Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that Trump doesn't understand what investigations are and cooked up a potential scenario in which Trump runs for sheriff.
In the aftermath of the school shooting in Florida, a national conversation is being led by teenagers about gun laws. With some saying the teens aren't the right people to lead the charge, The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked that teens have only led past protest movements like the Civil Rights movement, protests against the Vietnam War and the Revolutionary War. Jimmy Kimmel noted the photograph taken of Trump's notes at a White House listening session that had "I hear you" as point five, joking that anyone who needs to be reminded to say "I hear you" at a listening session perhaps isn't a good listener.
