1. Which nominee said this on the campaign trail: “I was outraged by the … VA scandals. People waiting months, even years for things like wheelchairs and basic medication. Some even dying while languishing on a wait list for an appointment. Heartbreaking and absolutely unacceptable.”

Trump may have made a similar statement, but this particular quote is from Clinton's July 25, 2016, speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention.

2. Which nominee has pledged to order a top-to-bottom review of federal programs and eliminate those that don’t work or are redundant?

Clinton made this promise during a Feb. 4, 2016, presidential debate at the University of New Hampshire with then-rival for the Democratic nomination Bernie Sanders.

3. Which nominee would ask each agency for a list of wasteful programs that could be eliminated within 100 days of the Inauguration?

Trump made this promise during his July speech accepting the Republican nomination for president.

4. Which candidate said it is good practice for leaders to make themselves accessible to employees, noting: “If they feel they can bring ideas to you, they will.”

Trump wrote this in a section of his 2004 book How to Get Rich titled “Donald J. Trump School of Business and Management.”

5. How does Trump's proposed level of federal spending on infrastructure improvements compare to Clinton's?

Clinton has called for an increase of $275 billion in federal infrastructure spending over five years; $25 billion of this funding would go toward a national infrastructure bank, which could leverage the money to create an additional $225 billion in direct loans, loan guarantees and other types of credit enhancement. This would bring Clinton’s total infrastructure investment to $500 billion. In August, Trump said he would at least double Clinton’s infrastructure spending.

6. Which candidate said this: “We’ve got to live in a transparent age, and we’ve got to be willing to get out there and own what we do and constantly work to improve it.”

Clinton delivered this message to State Department employees in 2013.

7. Which nominee would revive a rule in place during Bill Clinton’s administration that banned executive branch employees from lobbying government for five years after they left service?

Trump on Oct. 17 proposed reinstating this policy, and said he would ask Congress to pass it into law.

8. Which nominee has pledged to keep federal procurements on time and within budget by breaking them into smaller pieces so that cost-overruns or failure to meet agencies’ requirements are easier to spot?

This is part of Clinton’s plan to improve technology and innovation.

9. How many federal employee unions have endorsed Trump?

Trump likes to say the Immigration and Customs Enforcement bureau has endorsed him. This is not true, as agencies cannot endorse candidates; however, the National Border Patrol Council endorsed Trump in March and the National ICE Council endorsed him in late September.

10. What would Clinton do about the across-the-board budget cuts known as sequestration?

She has pledged to end the cuts for both defense and civilian agencies.
