Panel faults agencies on notification of secret activities
The committee examined 16 instances, spanning three administrations.
An investigation led by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee has concluded there were instances when U.S. intelligence officials did not keep lawmakers fully informed of covert spy activities, Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, said on Friday.
"In several specific instances, certain individuals did not adhere to the high standards set forth by the Intelligence Community and its agencies," Reyes said.
The details of the report and its recommendations are classified.
The committee examined 16 instances, spanning three administrations, in which the intelligence officials "did not provide Congress with complete, timely, and accurate information about intelligence activities," Reyes said.
