You'll notice a change in GovExec.com today. We've given the site, and our e-newsletters, a fresh look featuring our new logo.
The shift comes in connection with the redesign of the print edition of Government Executive, starting with the October issue. To complete the redesign, we hired Pentagram, a world-class New York design firm whose other recent projects have included redesigns of our sister publications, The Atlantic and National Journal, along with Time, Money and New York magazines. Pentagram gave the magazine a clean, fresh, contemporary look that calls to mind leading business publications.
If you're not already a subscriber to our print magazine, now might be a great time to sign up.
But this is just the beginning. We're relaunching all of our brands, including not just GovExec.com but also Nextgov.com, our sister site focused on technology and the future of government; the Government Business Council, our research arm; and our live and online events. The facelift you see on GovExec.com today is just the first step. In a few months, you'll see a complete redesign of the site, along with a host of new features.
It's all part of our commitment to serving the people who make government work. At a time when others denigrate public service and those who have devoted their careers to it, we're doubling down on our commitment to you. From our perspective, the only difference between government executives and those in the private sector is that public servants are responsible for leading and managing organizations with much more complex, challenging and important missions.
