Report: Obama to tap John Brennan as CIA director
Brennan is the president's top counter-terrorism adviser.
President Obama will nominate John Brennan, his top counter-terrorism adviser, as the next director of the CIA, the Associated Press reports.
Brennan’s nomination is expected to be announced at the White House on Monday afternoon, during the same event in which former Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., will likely get the nod for defense secretary, AP reports.
Michael Morell is currently the acting director of the CIA, following the resignation of David Petraeus in November.
