The Washington Times' Paul Bedard reported Tuesday that Rep. Jim Kolbe, R-Ariz., chairman of a House subcommittee that oversees the White House, is "angered by the administration's refusal to reveal how much it cost taxpayers" to let Democratic donors sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom, and "says it's time to install a financial watchdog" at the White House.
"An inspector general is a good idea," Kolbe said.
But the White House, according to the paper, is "fighting the initiative, saying it clouds the constitutional separation of powers."
