Top career IRS official investigated
Michael Dolan, the number two official and highest-ranking career civil servant at the IRS, recently was the subject of an investigation concerning $12,000 in moving expenses he received more than five years ago. Dolan says he fully accounted for the money, and members of Congress are concerned that an investigator in the Treasury Department's inspector general's office may have overstepped his bounds in conducting the investigation.
