Air traffic controllers to get merit bonuses
Transportation Secretary Rodney Slater announced today that the government has negotiated a new five-year contract with air traffic controllers that includes, for the first time, a merit-based incentive program. For example, a group of controllers who reduced errors in their particular tower below a target level would be eligible for bonuses.
