Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin said Monday that a published report that he is about to quit his job is "totally, absolutely and 100 percent erroneous."
The Japanese newspaper Sankei Shimbun said Rubin told President Clinton he wants to resign as early as the end of the Christmas holiday season.
But Rubin told reporters before a dinner sponsored by the National Foreign Trade Council Foundation in New York that he has no such plans, the Associated Press reported.
