The Justice Department announced yesterday that David Race Bannon, who claims to have worked for Interpol as a “hit man,” was arrested on Friday in Boulder, Colo., and charged with criminal impersonation. Bannon is the author of Race Against Evil: The Secret Missions of the Interpol Agent Who Tracked the World’s Most Sinister Criminals. Bannon has used his alleged background as an Interpol agent to charge more than $3,000 for training courses on human trafficking. But his credentials are "bogus," the Colorado Bureau of Investigation says.
