IRS Gets Online Kudos

Just in time for tax season, the Internal Revenue Service’s Web site has received its highest customer satisfaction ranking ever. As more and more taxpayers file their taxes from their home computers, the quarterly American Customer Satisfaction Index found that user satisfaction of the IRS Web site jumped 7 percent to a score of 73 out of 100. The number of taxpayers filing on the site rose nearly 17 percent from the same period last year. (Click here for an Excel spreadsheet of the survey results.)
