Safavian Seeks to Save Skin

Here's how federal prosecutors characterize David Safavian's request for probation, home detention and community service in lieu of prison time for his conviction on charges of lying and obstructing an investigation in the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal: "breathtakingly lenient" and a "miscarriage of justice."
