Public Management: The Next Agenda
We've had eight years of the President's Management Agenda piled on eight years of reinventing government. So when it comes to the issue of making sure that government can deliver on its promise of faithfully executing the laws and policies set by Congress and the president, the question is, now what?
The Public Manager has stepped into the void on that question with a special issue devoted to "a management agenda for the next president." It's an ambitious effort, based on a series of seminars in which a series of experts in federal management discussed acquisition, execution, human resources and technology issues. My colleague Allan Holmes has blogged about the issue over at Nextgov.
