Big News from the California Courts

Two California judges ruled that the domestic partners of gay and lesbian federal employees who work for them are entitled to health care benefits under FEHBP. This sets up a confrontation with the Office of Personnel Management, which as of a Feb. 20 letter, said that the office couldn't provide federal employees' partners with benefits because of the Defense of Marriage Act.
