Burning Question: Where's the best place to work for Uncle Sam?
We've looked at the worst locales. Now, where are the most desirable?
A couple of weeks ago, Burning Question asked "Where's the worst place to work for Uncle Sam?," highlighting a post by GovLoop founder Steve Ressler on what he considered to be the least desirable locations in which to live while holding a federal job.
Now Ressler's back, looking at the other side of the coin, with a post called the "Top 5 Best Places to Have a Government Job" (registration required).
Once again, there are some surprises on the list. We won't give them all away, except to say that apparently Ressler's a fan of college towns (Ann Arbor's "cool" and Charlottesville is "classy") and while Washington, D.C. made his worst list, it appears as a bonus city on the best list, too.
