Obama's Rating: 'Meets Expectations'
Looks like President Obama is getting a solid "meets expectations" rating from his constituents. In a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, 58 percent of respondents said Obama has done about what they expected. Almost 30 percent said he was doing worse than they anticipated, while 12 percent said he was exceeding expectations.
Congress on the other hand, took a beating. Almost a third of respondents rated this as one of the worst congressional sessions ever, and another 28 percent characterized it as "below average."
Before somebody says it in the comments section, I'll just throw it out there: If they had pay-for-performance on Capitol Hill, and the ratings were handed out by voters, it looks like legislators wouldn't be in for much in the way of increases. (Of course, to be fair, both the House and Senate already have voted not to take raises next year.)
