Electoral Loser: Government Extraterrestrial Commission
Voters in Denver apparently don't want government involved in extraterrestrial affairs. The Denver Post reports that more than 84 percent of voters voted Tuesday to reject Initiative 300, which would have required the city's mayor to create a commission on extraterrestrials. Under the proposal, the seven-member commission would have been required to have one member "who had consulted at least 100 people regarding their alleged close encounters with extraterrestrial intelligent beings."
Under the measure, the city would have been required to inform the public on its website of any evidence uncovered by the commission of extraterrestrial vists.
