Obama, Twitter, and Managing Government

Here are my tweets, as typed live, during President Obama's just-completed Twitter town hall:

• Obama: "I'm somebody who believes we can constantly improve any program."
• Obama: "We can't simply lop off 25% off the defense budget overnight." But budget so big can make "relatively modest" changes w/ big impact.
• Obama on cuts: "Defense contracting is something we're already making progress on."
• Obama on NASA: "Let's start stretching the boundaries so we're not doing the same thing over and over again."
• Obama on pay freeze: "That wasn't real popular among federal workers."

And the one question I asked during the town hall:

• #AskObama: You mentioned the federal pay freeze. Do you support cuts in federal employee and retiree benefits, too? If so, what, exactly?

I'd still like to see the answer to that one.
