The Budget: A Town Hall Meeting

President Obama has laid down his marker for this year's budget debate (assuming there actually is one before the elections), and now comes the House GOP blueprint, which would (among other things) extend the federal pay freeze through 2015, cut the federal workforce by 10 percent and boost employees' contributions to their retirement plans.

If you're wondering where the budget debate is headed, we have an upcoming event that is designed to provide some answers. At our next Town Hall meeting on March 27, we'll look at the ins and outs of this year's budget process, and its implications for federal managers. Our guest will be Phil Joyce, a budget and performance measurement expert at the University of Maryland. He's not only a dynamic speaker, but knows as much as anybody about how the whole process is likely to play out this year and for the foreseeable future. 

I'll be moderating the session, but the beauty of it is that it's all about you and your questions. The entire session is conducted in Q&A format.
