Excellent Government, Live and Online

We're already deep into the process of planning for  Excellence in Government Fall, coming up Sept. 6 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington. It will feature dynamic speakers and sessions across three tracks: Innovation, People and Performance. (Here's a preliminary schedule.) And the exciting news is that for the first time, it's free.

At the same time, we're beefing up the Excellence in Government online presence, with the aim of creating a year-round community exploring ideas for how to make government work better. So you'll be seeing more of Excellence in Government on GovExec.com  soon, with posts on leadership lessons, management tips and best practices.

In the meantime, Bryan Klopack, our executive director of research and analysis, and his team are getting the conversation started at LinkedIn, with a new group devoted to Excellence in Government. He's kicked it off with a post about the biggest challenges in the looming presidential transition (no matter who wins the election).
