Robert Peck, the commissioner of the Public Buildings Service who was dismissed after disclosures of his involvement in the ill-fated 2010 Las Vegas training conference thrown by a team at the General Services Administration, has weighed in—if only cryptically—on his view of his April termination.

The longtime real estate attorney recently landed a job leading a regional team at the architecture firm Gensler, according to a Wednesday  Washington Post report.

Explaining that he had received more job offers than he expected following the overspending scandal, the firing of several executives and the subsequent uproar in Congress, Peck said, “They know the politics. People get politics.”
