Obama: Somewhere, a Fed is Doing Something Dumb
At any given moment, some government employee is messing up, president says.
Let's face it, the federal government is a big entity, with billions upon billions of dollars in spending, thousands of installations and offices, and millions of employees. It's not just an entity, or series of entities -- it's a sector of the economy unto itself.
So when President Obama said the following today (in the context of discussing who in his administration knew about Operation Fast and Furious, and what they knew) , he really was simply expressing a mathematical truism:
"At any moment in the federal government, there will be people who do dumb things."
Still, it kinda stings, doesn't it?
