Obama cancels Monday campaigning due to storm
Both presidential candidates are scheduling around the Sandy.
The White House announced on Monday morning that the president cancelled his only campaign event of the day in Orlando, Fla., and will return to Washington to monitor Hurricane Sandy.
Both the Obama and Romney campaigns have had to reshuffle their schedules ahead of the storm, cancelling events.
“The President will continue to receive regular briefings on these efforts, and has made clear that he expects his team to continue to lean forward as Hurricane Sandy approaches,” the White House said in a statement.
