Agencies Open in Washington With Unscheduled Leave

As snow fell during the morning rush hour in Washington on Wednesday, the Office of Personnel Management announced that federal offices in the region would be open, with the option for employees to take unscheduled leave or telework.

"Non-emergency employees must notify their supervisor of their intent to use unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework (if telework-ready)," OPM announced.

Those regularly scheduled to telework must be prepared to telework for the entire workday.
