Washington Agencies Open With Unscheduled Leave

Federal agencies in Washington are open Wednesday on an unscheduled leave and telework status, the Office of Personnel Management announced. 

The announcement came as freezing rain fell in the national capital region and icy conditions prevailed.

"Non-emergency employees must notify their supervisor of their intent to use unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework (if telework-ready)," OPM announced.
