GSA Awards Professional Services Contracts to 74 Companies

The General Services Administration took a key step in its effort to harmonize agency services contracts with its announcement Monday that it has given awards to 74 companies under its vehicle called One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services, or OASIS.

As a family of contracts developed by GSA to streamline services contracting, OASIS encompasses a high goal of encouraging set-asides for small business subcontractors.

“OASIS and OASIS SB are the result of a two-year acquisition development process that involved not only the hard work and expertise of GSA’s OASIS team, but also the input of our industry partners,” Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Tom Sharpe said. “We know that our customers have been looking forward to these final awards, and it is clear that OASIS is already the solution of choice for many government agencies including the U.S. Air Force, which recently committed to using OASIS SB for all its professional services procurements.”

GSA said the governmentwide approach to complex integrated solutions under OASIS is similar but more flexible than the existing Alliant solution for information technology requirements. OASIS compliments the agency’s Multiple Award Schedules while providing additional benefits such as governmentwide use, access to “best in class” solution providers; on-ramp/off-ramp procedures to assure a deep vendor pool; and “integrated support for key government initiatives,” GSA said.
