Obama's Budget is Being Released On Time. Finally.
The president has consistently unveiled his budget proposal late, a study shows.
President Obama is set to release his fiscal 2016 budget on Monday, marking the first time in five years that he's unveiled the budget on or before the statutory deadline of the first Monday in February. For the fiscal 2014 budget, Obama didn't submit the proposal until April 10, more than two months after the deadline.
As part of a broader report on the budget's implications released Friday, the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments published a chart showing just how late Obama's budgets have been compared to those of presidents Clinton and George W. Bush.
