The FBI Announced That It Does Not Have the Wu-Tang Album
"No seizure warrant at the arrest of Martin Shkreli today" tweets the FBI.
Martin Shkreli, CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals and infamous jacker-upper of drug prices, has been released on a $5 million bond. He was arrested this Thursday by the FBI at his Manhattan home in connection with multiple charges of securities fraud. Per CNBC, Shkreli’s travel has been restricted to the eastern and southern districts of New York.
“As alleged, Martin Shkreli engaged in multiple schemes to ensnare investors through a web of lies and deceit,” Robert Capers, US attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said in a statement.
News of Shkreli’s arrest prompted one big question: What would happen to “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” the exclusive new Wu-Tang album that Shkreli bought for $2 million? Would the FBI seize it? Release it to the public? Everyone wanted to know. One writer even fired off a FOIA request on the matter:
Just FOIA'd the FBI to try to get the Wu-Tang Clan album from Martin #Shkreli - Let's party! pic.twitter.com/Dd0nxU1DwH

Now the FBI has put out a statement on the fate of the Wu-Tang album via Twitter:
#Breaking no seizure warrant at the arrest of Martin Shkreli today, which means we didn't seize the Wu-Tang Clan album.
