Shooting Reported Near the White House

A shooting has been reported outside the White House, which has been placed on lockdown. The president was not in the compound at the time.

Vice President Joe Biden was in the complex at the time of the incident, but is “secure,” his representative told ABC News.    

Both CNN and NBC are reporting the alleged shooter is down. Here’s CNN:
