D.C.-Area Agencies Open Two Hours Late
Employees also can opt to take unscheduled leave or telework.
As a winter storm hit the East Coast, federal agencies in the Washington area remained open Thursday, under a two-hour delayed arrival policy for employees.
Employees also have the option of taking unscheduled leave or telework, according to the Office of Personnel Management.
"Non-emergency employees who report to the office will be granted excused absence (administrative leave) for up to 2 hours past their expected arrival time," OPM said.
Emergency employees are expected to report on time unless otherwise directed by their agencies.
