Kenya, the Vatican, North Korea, China and the United States all make appearances in late-night TV.
David Letterman, Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon all came back from vacation Monday, but all three also had the rest of the world on their minds. Getting in jokes he missed from last week, Letterman had commentary on North Korea’s newest threats, the TSA’s looser restrictions and
Barack Obama’s brother’s loss in the recent Kenyan election
. Leno also joked about Obama’s brother and
mined sequestration again
. Jimmy Fallon mostly stayed away from politics, but did have something on China and its Disney park.
Conan O’Brien’s monologue was politics-heavy, commenting on the sequester cuts and even likening the papal conclave to the American electoral college. He even got another shot at the
White House tours being canceled
due to the budget cuts.
Fast forward to 3:45 to see Leno explain why Sylvia Matthews Burwell is a great pick to be
