Play of the Day: Where in the World is Edward Snowdiego?
The NSA leaker’s whereabouts are unknown.
After recent news that the federal government is going to charge Edward Snowden with espionage , the NSA leaker’s location is unknown. Stephen Colbert called Snowden “drone-bait” and remembered an old computer game/television show for a nice graphic and some jokes about computer nerds. On TBS, Conan O’Brien noted the irony of a leaker being so secretive. With the stoppage of communication between Hong Kong and the United States, The Daily Show ’s John Oliver compared the federal government to a sad ex-boyfriend and joined The Tonight Show ’s Jay Leno in making fun of the efficacy of the NSA surveillance program.
The Late Show ’s David Letterman brought Snowden’s pole-dancing girlfriend back into the mix, making a joke about nations allowing asylum to her. In other news, Letterman also brought the opening of World War Z into the Obama administration, showing a video touching on the administration’s Let’s Move campaign .
Fast forward to 4:15 to see Oliver explain the United States government’s knowledge of Snowden’s whereabouts.
