It's bigger and it's going to be at least a two-year commitment.
U.S. airstrikes against the Islamic State and other targets in Syria began late Monday night. And after much anticipation, comedian Jon Stewart astutely observes: It's almost as if Americans weren't awaiting a war as much as they were standing in line for the most recent version of mobile cellular technology.
But late-night host Stephen Colbert isn't fazed. He's just happy he can punch another hole in his Middle East Frequent Bombing Card.
