Play of the Day: Even More on the Confederate Battle Flag
Alabama and Mississippi examine their use of the symbol.
Donald Trump's 2016 campaign is rolling along and late-night hosts have taken note. The punchline-producing candidate was in comedian's crosshairs again Wednesday night, as Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about his popularity among Hispanic voters, Conan O'Brien included him in a "Celebrity Survey" segment and The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about his wealth.
The debate over the Confederate Battle Flag seems to have shifted, with more and more government officials coming out against the symbol of the Confederacy. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart talked about Mississippi's state flag, while Late Night's Seth Meyers had a Southern sympathizing dog featured on his dog shaming segment. The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore congratulated Alabama on taking down its flags, but wondered why on earth Alabama had four Confederate Battle flags hanging in official capacities.
