Play of the Day: Mitt Romney is Here to Save the GOP... Or Not
The former presidential candidate's attacks on Donald Trump are too little, too late.
The Defense Department recently announced a program called "Hack the Pentagon" to find tech talent for the Obama administration. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon noted the contest and wondered if this was the best course of an action for an administration with cybersecurity problems.
Mitt Romney spoke Thursday in Utah, slamming Donald Trump as a fraud without the temperament to be president. Fallon joked about Romney's insult constructions, while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah and The Nightly Show's Larry Wilmore joked about Romney's tepid insults. Late Night's Seth Meyers might have had the most apt comparison, saying Romney's speech was like a Japanese soldier firing his rifle at Godzilla in the 1954 Toho studios classic.
