Play of the Day: Only a Loser Loses an Election… Unless It's Rigged
Donald Trump sows the seeds of conspiracy.
Donald Trump has spent the last few weeks claiming -- despite most polling -- he is actually winning the 2016 election, but that Hillary Clinton has an edge this year… including suggesting she is on drugs. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about Clinton quoting Michelle Obama at the second debate, whole Viceland's Desus & Mero joked about coked-up conspiracy theories everyone's heard at parties.
In addition to evoking anti-semitic imagery about the media and banking system, Trump is claiming that voter fraud is real and will play a factor. Full Frontal sent correspondents to Trump rallies to poke holes in Trump's narrative, even showing one Trump supporter say he knows about the covering Clinton's numerous scandals because he watches the (presumably Clinton-favoring) news. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah pointed out that Trump has gotten billions of dollars worth of free coverage in the media, joking that Trump's podium has gotten more air time than Gary Johnson and Jill Stein combined. Then again, Trump's podium can probably find Aleppo on a map.
