Play of the Day: WikiLeaks Releases More Information From Mind of the Clinton Campaign
The long list of potential veep picks has some odd names on it.
After the release earlier this month of video of Donald Trump and Billy Bush making sexist and lewd comments, many questioned how Trump's wife Melania felt about the video release. Melania Trump was interviewed by Anderson Cooper this week, saying her husband "was led on, like egg[ed] on, from the host to say dirty and bad stuff." The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about the GOP nominee's earlier tough talk, saying Bush is nothing compared to China and Mexico, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that it would be interesting to see Donald Trump go against a heavy hitter like Mario Lopez.
Within the most recent Wikileaks document dump is a series of transcripts of speeches Hillary Clinton gave to banks, including a segment where Clinton says she dreams "a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders." Noah Tuesday night joked that Clinton's dreams are far different from her famously lascivious husband.
Wikileaks also released emails that contained a list of dozens of potential vice presidential picks from the Clinton campaign. The list included Starbucks CEO Howard Schulz, which caused Jimmy Kimmel to joke that Schulz could "make America grande again," while Colbert showed a handwritten list of Trump's VP picks.
