Play of the Day: Donald Trump is the Twitter President
Who needs intelligence briefings, when the president-elect can just check the Moments tab?
Donald Trump plans to spend plenty of time at New York's Trump Tower during his presidency, which means the Secret Service will have to have some sort of command center there. According to reports, the Secret Service will have to rent out one or two floors in the building, with Trump charging the federal agency up to $3 million dollars in rent. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying the price tag is before the minibar charges.
While there is no evidence that voter fraud occurred on a large scale, Trump tweeted that he won the popular vote, "if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally" over the weekend. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that Trump is only making the claim because he likes the word "popular, while Fallon joked that Trump is the only person who could have won an election and still claim shenanigans. Viceland's Desus & Mero tied Trump's Twitter habits to news that Trump's not taking intelligence briefings. After all, shouldn't the leader of the free world have more information on ISIS than the Moments tab?
