Play of the Day: Trump's Victory Shut Down Part of the Web

The Canadian immigration site was down last night, but other parts of the web were also overloaded.

Donald Trump was elected to be the 45th president of the United States Tuesday night, prompting stunned late-night hosts to try and digest the results. Jimmy Kimmel and Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about hallucinations, while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah compared his feelings about the election to the president-elect's hair: it may seem backward, but it's very much real.

According to reports, the Canadian immigration website was down late Tuesday night from too much traffic to it. Kimmel joked that the many celebrities who supported Hillary Clinton may have been to blame and that they were also googling "is there gluten in poutine?" Colbert joked that the Canadian site wasn't the only one that went down while election results were coming in. Sites like "stresseatersanonymous.org" probably went down, as did "klanklothing.com" because, after all, "Yes we klan!"
