Republican National Convention speaker, Donald Trump supporter and actor Scott Baio declared this week that he will no longer be shopping at Nordstrom after the department store dropped President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka's clothing line from its stores, due to dwindling sales. Conan O'Brien joked about this development, mocking Baio's washed-up status.

Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe at the Mar-a-Lago resort over the weekend when North Korea tested a missile, creating a potential national security crisis on Saturday. While the usual protocol is to go a secure place, Trump and Abe huddled over their dinner table in the open-air patio "where any wingding with a phone can take pictures and post them on Facebook" as Desus and Mero noted . And take pictures they did. Some members took photos of Trump and Abe reading sensitive documents by the flashlight of their cell phones. This would be fine, as Late Show' s Stephen Colbert noted, if those lights didn't have cameras attached to them. One Mar-a-Lago member posted a photo with Rick, the man holding the nuclear football with the caption "Rick is the man." Colbert joked that Rick " was the man, until his identity was compromised by the carving station."
