Play of the Day: Rex Tillerson's Alias Was Too Masculine
Stephen Colbert wonders if the State Department chief's fake email handle actually worked.
The ultra-popular reality show The Bachelor concluded its most-recent season Monday night with the bachelor choosing a Canadian teacher as his fiancée. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that Bachelor star Nick Viall is a "reality star who has married an immigrant he barely knows and… Oh my god, he's going to be president of the United States."
News broke this week that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson allegedly used the pseudonym "Wayne Tracker" to email colleagues about climate change while he was CEO of Exxon Mobil. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news Tuesday, noting that members of President Donald Trump's administration can do many things publicly, but talking science needed to be done privately. Colbert also noted that "Wayne Tracker" sounds "less like a cowboy name than Rex Tillerson" and that Tillerson's alias should've been something not manly, like "Humbert Knucklebutt."
