Play of the Day: Trump's Low Approval Rating

President Donald Trump turned down the Washington Nationals' offer to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the team's home opener next week. Both Conan O'Brien and Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Trump's views on immigration could come in conflict with Major League Baseball's Central American workforce.

Trump's approval rating in Gallup's tracking poll dropped to 36% this week, which is lower than any point in either Bill Clinton or Barack Obama's presidencies. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump will now go and "kill bin Laden and sleep with an intern" to get his ratings up. The Tonight Show also put together a list of gross things with higher approval ratings than the president, including warm Subway seats, wet doorknobs and vague text messages.
