Play of the Day: Some Nicknames for Kim Jong-un
Why hasn't President Donald Trump come up witha clever moniker for North Korea's leader
According to a new report, President Donald Trump has been increasingly recruiting officials from George W. Bush's administration to serve in the Trump administration. Conan O'Brien joked about the news, suggesting Trump asked for "The Iraq guy and the Katrina guy."
Tensions between the United States and North Korea have been ratcheting up recently and Trump told Fox and Friends "I don't want to telegraph what I am doing or what I am thinking" about a potential conflict. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the interview, saying "Can you at least confirm that you are thinking?" while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about North Korea's most recent military parade. In the interview, Trump also did not say Kim Jong-Un's name, prompting late-night hosts to wonder: Does Trump actually know Kim's name? The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump probably confused Kim with Kanye West's reality star wife, while Desus and Mero joked that he was confusing Kim with rap star Lil Kim. Colbert joked that Trump's penchant for insulting nicknames -- "Crooked Hillary," Little Marco," "Lyin' Ted," etc. -- should be deployed to Kim. After all, wouldn't it be better to call him "The Dear Eater," The Dictator Tot" or "EL Presidumpty?"
