Play of the Day: How the Rest of the World Sees Donald Trump
Europe doesn't seem to hold the president in high regard, but he's very popular in other places.
Last week, the Supreme Court lifted blocks on President Donald Trump's travel ban and granted some exclusions for those with close family in the United States. The lifting of the ban made for a bit of wordplay for Last Week Tonight's John Oliver when he played with the word "ban" quite a bit.
According to a new poll by the Pew Research Center, the image of the U.S. has , with many attributing the decline to Trump's election. Trump himself only rated a 22% favorability rating in the study, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that Trump finally united the world. Fox News' Greg Gutfeld spoke glowingly about the president, saying Trump is "more like America than anyone before him. He's us. More important, he's us on vacation." Colbert also cited Pew's finding that Trump is unpopular on six continents, concluding that penguins love Trump in Antarctica and showing an image of penguins in Trump hats.
