Play of the Day: Trump Meets the French First Lady

The White House released a partial transcript of a conversation President Donald Trump had with reporters on Air Force One on the way to France. In it, Trump says he wants a border wall with "transparency" because "You have to be able to see through it." Jimmy Kimmel joked about the comments, saying that perhaps the U.S. could not build a border wall and tell Trump we did by telling him it's so transparent that it's invisible.

Upon arriving in Paris, Trump met French President Emmanuel Macron's wife Brigitte for the first time and his first words to her were “You’re in such good shape” and called her "beautiful." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that Trump shouldn't treat the Paris meeting like "one of your European wife-shopping trips," while Kimmel joked that only Trump would treat such a meeting like it's a "swingers' key party." The Daily Show's Trevor Noah even joked that Trump may have gotten some help from his translator to clean up the sentiment into something like "You look well today."
