Play of the Day: A Hurricane Deal Keeps the Government Open

As Houston and other parts of Texas are rebuilding after Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma is ravaging the Caribbean and heading toward the United States. President Donald Trump called the storm "not good, believe me," prompting Late Night's Seth Meyers and The Daily Show's Trevor Noah to joke about Trump's vocabulary.

Trump and top Democrats came to an agreement to avoid a government shutdown Wednesday, surprising many in Washington. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon connected Trump's wealth to the story in a joke, while Meyers joked that no one actually knows what debt ceiling negotiations actually mean. Noah noted that the agreement came because of hurricane funding, saying that Irma may mean there's good news (the government is functioning), bad news (it takes a hurricane to get the government to function, good news (there's are more hurricanes coming) and, finally, more bad news (they're hurricanes).
