Play of the Day: Trump Unveils His Tax Plan
It's got a long name, but it's definitely from the mind of the president.
Health and Human Services chief Tom Price is facing criticism for his use of private flights billed to taxpayers, including a trip that culminated in six hours in Tennessee and a lunch with his son. Late Night's Seth Meyers wondered about the trip, joking "did he take the jet to the drive-thru window?"
President Donald Trump and House Republicans unveiled their tax plan this week and late-night was quick to joke about Trump benefiting from the plan. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that Trump might resign after he gets tax reform that benefits himself and Late Show's Stephen Colbert compared Trump to a lottery winner. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the name of the tax plan, the "Unified Framework for Fixing Our Broken Tax Code," joking that it's wordy, so Fallon and his staff had some better, more Trump-sounding names.
